Stenciled wooden announcement
I really like this wooden sign. The pattern is so precise, it looks like it was stenciled on. I love the crisp celery green they used on the side twirly-bits.
What do you think, too much work? Or worth the effort? Or you're just here for the tissue boxes and don't care about these wedding shenanigans?

Mad hatters
I love an over-the-top floppy hat with oversize fleur and sparkly brooch.
If you can match the clementine orange of the brim to the hot pink/olive/orange of your dress? So delightful in that first-time-Hugh-Grant-sees-The-American-Girl-in-Four-Weddings-And-A-Funeral way. (She glowed).

Quote of the Day
"I’ve made enough Halloween costumes to know not to get too crazy over details—most of the time, if you cover the main ideas, people subconsciously fill in the rest themselves."*
Fricken LOVE that advice.
In other news, here are a few of my Halloween costumes over the years, presented without comment:

Maybe next year I'll go as a bride.
String art sign (in this case for a wedding, but could work for other things I suppose. Like an advertisement for a string art fair)
I wonder if this project counts as a lazy DIY if you work on it while you dangle your legs in a pool and sip a margarita with the other hand.
If not, maybe I can get my friend (the summer camp art instructor) to get her students to do it for me, while I dangle my legs in a pool and sip a margarita with both hands.
Summertime!
