It's true! You could wear a simple, simple gown and throw on the right headwear or jewels and shoes and look like a million bucks. I bought this $40 white dress at Macy's for our after-party (junior's department) and it would've made an amazing wedding dress. All wedding dresses are white!!! It's kind of boring!!!
I'm not even exaggerating when I say this advice saved me a few grand. I was getting very quickly caught up in the super-fancy dresses, but I ended up going with something much (much) cheaper and jazzing it up with some bling. Thanks, Alison!
