Engagement of the day
Before I moved into the city and dove into Springsteen like a rooftop swimming pool, I listened exclusively to country music. Back then, I admired Chely Wright for her voice and beauty. Now I admire her for her strength. When she came out as a lesbian on Oprah last year, I sobbed like a baby (particularly at the moment when her formerly-homophobic father said "do not close the door, open your heart"). SOBBED.
Anyway. Chely went from putting a gun in her mouth in despair to falling in love witha stone cold hot blonde GLBT civil rights activist, Lauren Blitzer.
